The Anglo Australian Motorsport Race Team made our way to The Bend Motorsport Park in South Australia for Round 2 of the National Formula Ford - Kent series and Round 6 of the National Formula Ford - Duratec series.

A Wet & Windy Weekend! 🌧

Mitch Gatenby - A Class of his own:

Mitch Gatenby is running away with the Championship after an incredible performance over the course of the weekend.

It was his first time at The Bend but that didn't slow him down. Tricky conditions during Friday's Practice Sessions saw him spin off the track a few times whilst he was finding the limits of grip but Mitch claimed Pole Position during Quali and went on to win all three Races 👏

Pat Heuzenroeder - The Ups & Downs of Motorsport:

Pat Heuzenroeder experienced all the Ups & Downs that motorsport has to offer this weekend. It was also his first time Driving at The Bend Motorsport Park.

A mechanical issue during Qualifying meant that Pat only managed to get one flying lap, which left him P18 with lots of work to do.

Race 1: Started 18th and worked his way though the field finishing P14th

Race 2: Started 12th and made some impressive overtakes up to 10th but unfortunately received a time penalty which put him back 5 places ending up 15th.

Race 3: Started 15th and lost a few places early on but managed to overtake from 18th all the way up to 7th. A last lap battle eventually saw Pat and another driver make contact on the last corner of the last lap resulting in a DNF.
